After arriving at the Hong Kong International Airport and going through the luggage claim and Customs, you will be met at Arrival Hall B and transferred by private vehicle to your hotel, where you will spend the next three nights.
Although every effort will be made to have rooms ready before check-in at 3:00pm, this cannot be guaranteed. If you have an early arrival, you may wish to book an extra night so that your room will be available upon arrival.
The remainder of the day will be at your leisure and meals will be on your own. Feel free to simply settle in and relax or you might explore areas of Hong Kong not on the itinerary. At 8:00pm, don’t miss the spectacular 10-minute “Symphony of Lights” show around Victoria Harbor!
Note: A private van or SUV will be used to transfer couples or parties of two between the airport and the hotel. Vans hold a maximum of four pieces of large luggage (total) plus one carry-on sized bag per person. A sedan will be used for solo guests, which can hold 2 large suitcases and a carry-on. If you will have more luggage, a larger vehicle may be required for additional cost. Please advise your booking agent at least 14 days before sailing if a larger vehicle is required. Transfers are with driver only.
Day 2
After breakfast, proceed to Hong Kong Island. For the ultimate view of the surroundings, you will ride the re-vitalized tram up to Victoria Peak. The world’s steepest funicular railway, the Peak Tram opened in 1888 and has been providing spectacular panoramas ever since. As you ascend, you may notice that the steep slope causes an optical illusion in which the skyscrapers seem to be standing at impossible angles.
After pausing for photos at the peak, you will drive on to Aberdeen fishing village and board a sampan boat. While on the water, you can expect to see fishing boats, Chinese junks and villagers doing chores. The experience offers a candid look into daily life, as does your next stop—the last remaining jewelry outlet featuring handmade unique designs combining East and West influences.
Following lunch, it’s on to vibrant Stanley Market, a highly popular shopping destination for merchandise such as silk garments, Chinese costume jewelry and art. As an alternative in Stanley, you might explore Tin Hau Temple, which once stood at the edge of the sea, and the Murray House, an early 19th-Century building that was moved from its original site to the seaside.
Your next destination is the Star Ferry for a ride across Victoria Harbour viewing the beautiful skyline of the city.
Following the Star Ferry, return to your hotel for an evening at leisure and dinner on your own. A must see is the vibrant Night Market!
Day 3
After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart to visit the hidden gems in the City – the sacred Chi Lin Nunnery, a Buddhist temple complex, and the charming Nan Lian Garden of the Tang Dynasty where each stone, tree, rock or water element is landscaped after specific rules and regulations. With the backdrop of Chi Lin Nunnery, you will find the typical Hong Kong high-rise buildings making for an interesting clash of old, new, calm and hustle.
Next, drive to Tai Po and enjoy a panoramic view of the waterfront and Tolo Harbor at the Spiral Lookout Tower - a large-scale landmark established to mark the transfer of sovereignty of Hong Kong to China in 1997.
Visit a bustling food market that sells all kinds of fresh products, dried herbs and seafood. Next door is the century old Man Mo Temple dedicated to the gods Man (Literature) and Mo (Martial Arts). It serves as a center of worship for the community.
After sampling a Chinese dim sum lunch at a local restaurant, you will be transferred back to Kowloon with a stop the West Kowloon Cultural District. Visit the Hong Kong Palace Museum which presents over 900 priceless treasures from the Beijing Palace Museum. Many are on display for the first time in Hong Kong, while others have never been shown to the public before. The Museum also regularly presents special exhibitions featuring Chinese art and culture, as well as art and treasures from other parts of the world.
After your visit, return to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure and dinner is on your own. Your hotel Concierge can make a reservation for you at the best restaurants!
Day 4
Following breakfast and check out from the hotel, you will be transferred as a group to the cruise ship for embarkation.

The Grand Mosque is particularly fascinating, as it reflects traditional Chinese and Muslim styles.
Walk to the nearby Defachang Restaurant, popularly known for its dumplings. Carefully hand-prepared, the dumplings are available in dozens of different shapes and colors and filled with a variety of local ingredients. You can expect the meal to be wonderfully traditional.
After dinner, proceed to your hotel for check-in and an evening at leisure.

The warriors are grouped in battle order, rank by rank, some mounted on horse-drawn chariots and others in infantry groups armed with spears, swords and crossbows. Each figure was individually created with unique characteristics.
Following the tour and a traditional Chinese lunch at a nearby restaurant, visit the Xian Museum which houses a wealth of historical and cultural artifacts from different periods. The exhibition area is divided into three parts showcasing displays themed on “Ancient Capital Xi’an”, other offers insights into Xian’s urban landscape, societal life and development over 13 dynasties while the special exhibition halls display various Buddhist stone sculptures, ancient paintings, calligraphy and jade artifacts.
Return to your hotel to freshen up before driving to the Tang Dynasty Theatre for dinner and a cultural performance. The lively show features beautiful costumes, ancient music, poetry, singing and dance, some of which were developed as parts of ritual prayers for a good harvest. Please make sure to verify with the company you select to issue the Visa or your local Chinese Embassy, whether a single or multiple entry visa will be required based on your cruise itinerary as well as this program itinerary.
It is essential that any China visas be obtained prior to travel. We suggest consulting with your local Chinese Embassy at least 3 months prior to travel to obtain the necessary documentation or for any questions on the above in relation to this program.
VERY IMPORTANT – The name on your cruise booking, passport and visa must all be exactly the same for flight ticket purchase otherwise guests may be denied travel by flight. Please ensure that all documents are identical in spelling to the names provided for your cruise reservation including first, middle and last name. Manifests generated by the cruise line must match your travel documents.
Please also ensure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your planned date of return from China and it must have one entire blank page for the visa.
RSSC will require guests’ passport details within 120 days of sailing as hotels and airlines are requiring these details for reservations and ticketing. Please ensure the most up to date details are added to your booking before this time. Rooms and flight tickets will not be guaranteed without this information. Should you be waiting for new passport details, kindly submit what you have and then provide new details once secured. You will be required to bring both passports with you for this journey for check in for flights.
Visa requirements are subject to change and Visa procurement is the responsibility of each guest.
Not having the required documents ahead of time will result in denial of travel and guests will be required to pay any expenses incurred to not proceed with the program.
The above information is subject to change and serves as a guide only. We would like to take this opportunity to remind all of our guests that it is the ultimate and sole responsibility of the guest to ensure they meet the entry requirements for each destination.

Currency:
The Hong Kong dollar (HKD) is the currency of Hong Kong.
Electricity:
The standard electrical voltage in Hong Kong is 220 volts AC, 50Hz. Most hotel bathrooms also have outlets for 100 volts. If not, you will need a transformer for electrical devices. The majority of electrical outlets in Hong Kong take a three-pronged UK-style plug. We recommend bringing an adapter in case the hotel cannot supply one.
Luggage:
On the flight from Hong Kong to Xi’an, guests are permitted to check in one piece of luggage not exceeding 20 KG (44 lbs.). Carry-on luggage must not be larger than 22x14x9 inches / one piece per person.
Excess luggage that you do not wish to take on the flight will be stored at the hotel in Hong Kong where you will be re-united with it on Day 4. If you exceed your luggage allowance on the flight, you will be subject to the fees imposed by the airline and payable upon check-in at the airport.
Carriage of Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines on internal flights per airline regulations (subject to change as each airline has their own regulations)
1.Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC) - Guests must obtain a Doctor’s Certificate mentioning their medical condition and the need to carry a POC. Further paperwork may be required by the airline.
2.CPAP Machine NOT being used in flight – please advise RSSC at least 95 days before your cruise if you will bring a CPAP on the internal flight(s) used in this land program. Please supply the make, model and battery type.
3.CPAP Machine to be used during flight – same as above + a doctor’s note is required mentioning the need to use the machine during flight.
*Guests are required to bring with them any details from the manufacturer regarding the CPAP specifications. While most modern CPAP machines are FAA-approved for in-flight use, having a copy of your manufacturer’s FAA-approval status will help to quickly clear any confusion that may arise.
* Not providing the above details in a timely manner may result in a denial of this equipment at the airport for which Regent Seven Seas Cruises nor our local ground operator will be responsible for.
*Some hotels do not provide distilled water. While we can certainly request this for you, we cannot guarantee that it will be available. If received in a timely manner, at least 95 days before sailing, requests will be sent on the final manifest that our ground operators and hotels receive. We highly recommend packing your own supply, especially on programs that travel to more remote locations in order to avoid not having it. Please keep in mind the rule for liquids in carry-on bags. Many hotels will charge for distilled water. If there is a fee, this will be added to your hotel incidental account to be paid at check-out. Fees will vary from hotel to hotel.

Immerse yourself in Hong Kong’s spectacular skyline, ancient temples, traditional fishing villages, and dynamic markets. From breathtaking rides on the iconic Peak Tram and Star Ferry to exploring hidden gardens, world-class museums, and a festive Christmas afternoon tea, this journey offers the perfect blend of adventure, culture, and relaxation. Let Hong Kong surprise and delight you at every turn!
Day 1 – December 22, 2027
Disembark the ship and proceed to Hong Kong Island.
After pausing for photos at the peak, you will drive to Aberdeen fishing village and board a sampan boat. While on the water, you can expect to see fishing boats, Chinese junks and villagers doing chores. The experience offers a candid look into daily life, as does your next stop—the last remaining jewelry outlet featuring hand-made unique designs combining East and West influences.
Your next destination is the Star Ferry pier where you will board a ferry for a ride across Victoria Harbour. Take in the spectacular views of the skyline from this vantage point on the water.
Following your ride on the ferry, transfer to your hotel for check-in. The evening is at your leisure and dinner on your own. Don’t miss the spectacular 10-minute “Symphony of Lights” show around Victoria Harbor! Your hotel concierge can tell you the start time (Normally around 8pm) and the vibrant Night Market is a must!
The Regent Hong Kong is a luxurious haven in a prime location, praised for its stunning harbor views and proximity to attractions. During your trip, Regent’s hospitality desk representatives can help you plan your free time.
Day 2 – December 23, 2027
After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart for a visit to the hidden gems in the City – the sacred Chi Lin Nunnery, a Buddhist temple complex, and the charming Nan Lian Garden of the Tang Dynasty where each stone, tree, rock or water element is landscaped after specific rules and regulations.
Explore the Hong Kong Palace Museum, where more than 900 rare artifacts from the Beijing Palace Museum are displayed. Many of these items are being exhibited in Hong Kong for the first time, and some have never been seen by the public before. The museum also hosts rotating special exhibitions showcasing Chinese art and culture, as well as collections from around the globe.
After your visit, return to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure and dinner is on your own. Perhaps try the famous Peking Duck – Shangri La’s Concierge can make a reservation for you the best restaurants!
Day 3 – December 24, 2027
After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart for Tung Chung, a city on Lantau, Hong Kong’s largest island. The landscape is lush and mountainous, and you will enjoy a wonderful view of it while riding crystal cable car to Ngong Ping village.
Nearby, you will find Po Lin Monastery. Once a rather remote monastery, it gained prominence in 1993, when a Big Buddha statue was erected here. More than 100 feet high, it attracts pilgrims from all over Asia. Be sure to have your camera ready for photos of the iconic Buddha.
In time, you will return to Tung Chung by cable car and on the hotel to enjoy the remainder of the day and evening on your own. Dinner is on your own.
Day 4 – December 25, 2027
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then a day at leisure to explore the sights on your own or simply relax and enjoy the amenities of the hotel.
This afternoon, enjoy a luxurious Christmas Afternoon Tea in the Lobby Lounge with panoramic Victoria Harbour views, typically featuring a festive-themed menu.
Dinner is on your own.

DAY 1
Disembark the ship in Halong Bay and journey along the expressway to Hanoi, Vietnam’s elegant capital, where French colonial boulevards, shaded lakes and centuries of scholarship give the city its unmistakable allure. The drive of approximately two and a half hours reveals a graceful contrast between modern Vietnam and the timeless rhythm of its historic heart.
Your first visit is to the Temple of Literature, founded in 1070 and revered as Vietnam’s first national university. Dedicated to Confucius, this serene complex unfolds through elegant courtyards, lotus ponds and timeworn pavilions, including the celebrated Khue Van Pavilion, long regarded as a symbol of Hanoi. As you wander through the atmospheric grounds, you will encounter stone stelae honoring generations of scholars and a refined architectural setting that reflects Vietnam’s enduring reverence for learning and culture.
Drive to a local restaurant for lunch and then this afternoon, continue to Tran Quoc Pagoda, Hanoi’s oldest Buddhist sanctuary, dramatically set on a small island along the shimmering waters of West Lake. Originally founded in the 6th century, the pagoda is a place of stillness and devotion, where incense drifts through ancient shrines and a graceful red stupa rises above gardens of bonsai and lotus. Within its sacred precincts, Buddhist tradition mingles with deeply rooted Vietnamese spiritual beliefs, offering an illuminating glimpse into the country’s religious heritage.
Drive to President Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum for an exterior visit and photo stop, a landmark that remains one of Hanoi’s most powerful national symbols.
Continue to Hanoi’s storied Old Quarter, the atmospheric district known as the Quarter of 36 Streets, where each lane was historically devoted to a specific guild or trade. Visit Ngoc Son Temple, set on a small jade-like island in the middle of Hoan Kiem Lake and reached by a vivid scarlet bridge. Dedicated to the revered military hero Tran Hung Dao, the temple is steeped in symbolism and legend. Here, you will hear the tale of the Lake of the Restored Sword, one of Vietnam’s most enduring myths, while taking in the peaceful beauty of the lake framed by banyan trees and elegant colonial facades.
Next, enjoy a performance at the Water Puppet Theatre, one of northern Vietnam’s most distinctive art forms. Accompanied by live folk music, these enchanting, lacquered puppets appear to dance across the water’s surface, bringing to life village legends, scenes of rural life and centuries of storytelling tradition from the Red River Delta.
From here, drive to dinner at a local restaurant and then set out on foot to further explore the Old Quarter, where narrow streets glow with shopfront lanterns, market stalls and the energy of daily life. This evening walk offers an intimate look at Hanoi after dark, when traditional commerce, street culture and local ritual unfold in one of Asia’s most captivating historic districts.
Proceed to your hotel for check-in and a well-earned evening of relaxation.
DAY 2
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel followed by check out.
Begin the day with a visit to Hoa Lo Prison, known to many as the “Hanoi Hilton.” Built by the French at the turn of the 20th century, this stark colonial prison offers a sobering look at Vietnam’s turbulent past. Within its preserved corridors and cells, the architecture and exhibits evoke the atmosphere of a place that witnessed both anti-colonial resistance and wartime imprisonment, making it one of Hanoi’s most compelling historical sites.
Continue to the Museum of Ethnology, one of Hanoi’s most insightful cultural institutions. Through thoughtfully curated exhibits, traditional costumes, ceremonial objects and architectural reconstructions, the museum introduces the extraordinary diversity of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. It is a fascinating window into the customs, artistry and daily life of the communities that shape the country far beyond its major cities.
After lunch at a local venue, drive to the airport and fly to Siem Reap, gateway to the ancient Khmer world. Cambodian visas will be arranged on arrival.
Collect any luggage and exit the customs lounge to meet your local tour guide. Transfer to your hotel for check-in and a chance to settle into the slower rhythm of Siem Reap, a city that balances refined hospitality with proximity to one of the world’s most extraordinary archaeological landscapes.
After some time to freshen up, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant accompanied by a traditional performance, an evocative introduction to Cambodia’s artistic heritage.
DAY 3
After breakfast, depart for Banteay Srei, the exquisite “Citadel of Women,” located in the Cambodian countryside beyond Siem Reap. Though smaller in scale than many Angkorian monuments, it is celebrated as one of the finest achievements of Khmer art. Carved from rose-pink sandstone, its pediments, lintels and doorframes are adorned with astonishingly delicate floral motifs and mythological scenes that appear almost lace-like in stone.
Continue to Angkor Wat, the crowning masterpiece of the Khmer Empire and the world’s largest religious monument. Built as a Hindu temple and later embraced by Buddhism, the vast sanctuary rises in a dramatic quincunx of towers symbolizing Mount Meru. Along its causeways and galleries, note the sweeping naga balustrades, soaring central towers and intricate bas-reliefs that recount epics, celestial battles and courtly processions in extraordinary detail. Your morning exploration is followed by lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, explore the Angkor Thom complex, the great fortified city of King Jayavarman VII. Enter through the monumental Southern Gate, where colossal stone figures line the causeway, then continue to Bayon, famed for its enigmatic towers carved with serene smiling faces that seem to look out in every direction. Visit the Terrace of the Elephants, once used as a royal viewing platform for ceremonies and military parades, and the nearby Terrace of the Leper King, whose layered carvings of deities and mythic beings reveal the sophistication of Khmer symbolism and courtly ritual.
Another highlight of the day is Ta Prohm, perhaps Angkor’s most atmospheric temple, where nature and architecture exist in dramatic embrace. Here, massive silk-cotton and strangler fig trees spill over galleries and courtyards, their immense roots gripping the temple stones in a scene that has become one of Cambodia’s most iconic images. Left intentionally close to the condition in which it was rediscovered, Ta Prohm evokes the romance of a lost city reclaimed by the jungle.
Drive back to your hotel for an evening at leisure with dinner on your own today.
DAY 4
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and check out. Transfer to the airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
Upon arrival, collect any luggage and exit the customs lounge and meet your local guide at column 4 for a transfer to Hiep Phuoc port, where you will re-join the ship.

DAY 1
Departing the port at Halong Bay, travel inland through a graceful patchwork of northern Vietnamese countryside on the journey to Hanoi, the nation’s captivating capital. Along the way, scenes of rural life unfold in vivid detail—emerald rice paddies, roadside villages animated by daily commerce, and farmers in traditional conical hats tending the land with timeless rhythm.
Your exploration begins at Hoa Lo Prison, known to many as the “Hanoi Hilton,” a sobering landmark first built by the French in 1896. Within its preserved walls, exhibits recount chapters of colonial rule, political resistance, and the later wartime era, offering a powerful introduction to Vietnam’s layered and resilient history.
Lunch is served at a local restaurant in Hanoi, offering a taste of the city’s celebrated culinary traditions.
This afternoon, visit the graceful Temple of Literature, founded in 1070 and dedicated to Confucius. Framed by tranquil courtyards, ancient pavilions, and carefully tended gardens, it stands as one of Vietnam’s most elegant architectural treasures and the country’s first national university.
Continue past Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi’s storied heart, where the serene waters reflect a tiny island crowned by Ngoc Son Temple. Here, amid one of the city’s most beloved settings, your guide will share the legend of the Restored Sword that gives the lake its poetic name.
Drive past the Hoan Kiem Lake where you will see a tiny island in the middle of the lake on which is perched the Ngoc Son temple dedicated to Tran Hung Dao, a hero who fought against the Mongolian troops in the 13th century. The lake is also known as the Lake of the Restored Sword, and you will hear from your guide the legend that is the origin of this name.
A stop in Hanoi’s famed Old Quarter—historically the quarter of 36 streets—reveals a mesmerizing maze of narrow lanes where merchant guilds once traded by specialty. Today, the district hums with life, its shopfronts, market stalls, cafés, and street vendors creating an atmosphere that is at once historic, theatrical, and unmistakably Hanoi.
Later, enjoy a traditional Water Puppet performance accompanied by live musicians playing Vietnamese string instruments. Originating in the rice paddies of the north and refined during the Ly Dynasty, this distinctly Vietnamese art form brings folklore, village life, and legend to life across a shimmering stage of water.
This evening, dine at a local restaurant before transferring to your hotel for check-in and an overnight stay in Hanoi.
DAY 2
After breakfast, visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, set beside the tranquil waters of West Lake. Revered as Hanoi’s oldest pagoda, this deeply atmospheric Buddhist sanctuary is celebrated for its harmonious design, intricate shrine layout, and enduring spiritual significance. The layered complex of worship halls, corridors, shrines, and belfry offers a serene counterpoint to the energy of the capital.
Continue to Ba Dinh Square for an exterior visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum complex, one of the most important civic and ceremonial spaces in Vietnam. The monumental setting, with its broad avenues and formal architecture, offers a striking glimpse into the nation’s modern history.
You will then visit the Museum of Ethnology, whose compelling collections illuminate the traditions, artistry, and daily life of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. Through richly curated displays, the museum offers a deeper understanding of the country’s remarkable cultural diversity.
After lunch at a local restaurant, transfer to Noi Bai Airport for a flight to Hue.
Upon arrival at Phu Bai Airport, transfer to your hotel in Hue for check-in. Dinner is served at the hotel, followed by an overnight stay in Vietnam’s former imperial capital.
Day 3
After breakfast, begin your day at the 19th-century Mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc, an evocative imperial retreat conceived by the emperor himself. Set amid pine-shaded grounds, lotus ponds, pavilions, and elegant stonework, the complex feels less like a tomb than a poetic landscape shaped for contemplation.
Next, continue to Hue’s Royal Citadel, the walled imperial heart of the city, where the vestiges of the Nguyen Dynasty still convey extraordinary grandeur. Within this storied complex lies the Purple Forbidden City, once reserved for the emperor and his court, where ceremonial architecture and surviving palace structures evoke the splendor of imperial Vietnam.
See the Noon Gate, the Citadel’s stately ceremonial entrance, where imperial proclamations, official calendars, and honors were once presented during important national observances.
Inside the Palace of Supreme Harmony, admire the setting where emperors once presided over affairs of state. Nearby temples dedicated to past rulers deepen the sense of dynastic legacy that still lingers throughout the citadel grounds.
Continue to the Celestial Lady Pagoda, or Thien Mu Pagoda, one of Hue’s most revered landmarks. Rising seven stories above the Perfume River, this iconic pagoda has become the emblem of the city—its graceful silhouette instantly recognizable and deeply woven into Hue’s spiritual identity.
After lunch, travel onward to Hoi An for an in-depth walking tour of this exquisitely preserved UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once a thriving trading port from the 15th to 19th centuries, Hoi An enchants with ochre façades, atmospheric lanes, and a multicultural architectural legacy shaped by Vietnamese, Chinese, and Japanese influences. Along the way, discover a temple honoring the Goddess of the Sea, the town’s celebrated Japanese Covered Bridge, a ceramics museum, and an open-air market that still pulses with local life.
Dinner is served at a local restaurant in Hoi An before you transfer to your hotel for check-in and an overnight stay.
Day 4
After breakfast, depart for Da Nang, pausing en route to visit the Cham Museum, home to the country’s most important collection of Cham sculpture and artifacts. Its remarkable sandstone carvings reveal the aesthetic refinement, spiritual beliefs, and artistic heritage of the ancient Champa Kingdom, offering a final, memorable encounter with central Vietnam’s rich cultural past.
Afterward, transfer to Da Nang International Airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport, enjoy a light lunch before continuing to the port, where you will rejoin the ship.
