Land Programs & Hotels

  • Explore Singapore timeless charm, from the serenity of the UNESCO World Heritage Botanic Gardens to the historic old Supreme Court and City Hall. Glide along the Singapore River and get to know three vibrant cultures of Singapore's major ethnic groups. Visit iconic places of worship that reflect the rich tapestry of the nation and savor delightful meals showcasing some of the best Singaporean gastronomy.

    Note:

•If you have any food intolerances or special dietary needs, please contact the Regent Reservations Team at least 95 days prior to your departure. It is important that your land program extension reflects these details so our local vendors can ensure smooth and enjoyable dining experiences.

    DAY 1

Upon arrival at Singapore’s Changi International Airport, you will be met by our local representatives in the arrivals area and transferred by private vehicle to your hotel.

Note: Couples or pairs will be transferred by private van or SUV (max 4 large bags total plus 1 carry-on per person); solo guests will use a sedan (2 large suitcases plus a carry-on). Extra luggage may require a larger vehicle at additional cost—notify your RSSC booking agent at least 14 days before sailing with this information. Transfers include driver only.

Check-in time is 3:00pm. Guests arriving early may leave luggage with Reception until rooms are available or to ensure immediate room availability, you may wish to book an extra night. All meals are on your own today.

    DAY 2

After breakfast, meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel and set out for an introductory tour of the “Lion City”.

Begin with a visit to the majestic Singapore Botanic Gardens, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A sure highlight will be meandering through the National Orchid Garden which is located in an impressive glasshouse showcasing over 1,000 orchid species and hybrids.

Next, enjoy a scenic drive along Orchard Road, passing by the Istana (Presidential Palace).

Indulge in a delightful three-course lunch featuring authentic Malay delicacies, followed by a refreshing bowl of cendol, a quintessential Singaporean dessert. This icy delight features delicate green strands of pandan-flavored jelly, coconut milk, shaved ice, and caramelized palm sugar – the perfect way to cool down and recharge before

After lunch, delve into Singapore's rich artistic heritage at the National Gallery Singapore, housed within two iconic buildings – the former Supreme Court and City Hall. Here you will see a vast collection of Southeast Asian art.

Continue your journey southwards and glide effortlessly into Sentosa Island by cable car, soaking in sweeping views of the harbor, rainforest, and glittering coastline below.

For a memorable finale, pause at Mount Faber Peak to enjoy a refreshing cocktail while taking in panoramic views of the city skyline and the Singapore Strait. Mount Faber is one of Singapore’s oldest hilltop parks and has been a strategic lookout point since colonial times.

After check-in at your hotel, the remainder of the evening is at your leisure and dinner is on own.

    DAY 3

After breakfast, meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel. Today will bring you to the heart of three vibrant communities in Singapore where you will experience their rich history and traditions firsthand.

Start at Telok Ayer, a historic district with a rich blend of Chinese and Peranakan influences. Visit Thian Hock Keng Temple, Singapore's oldest Buddhist temple and admire its intricate architecture and historical significance for the local community.

Next Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of Little India. Wander through the bustling streets, visit Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, one of the most prominent Hindu temples in Singapore and a focal point for the Indian community.

This is followed by a relaxing scenic bumboat ride along the historic Singapore River, from Boat Quay to Marina Bay. Remnant of Singapore’s fishing village past, bumboats were originally used for transporting goods and people along the river during the 19th and 20th centuries. Along the way glimpse at the historic shophouses lining the riverbanks, in contrast with the skyscrapers of present-day Singapore.

Indulge in a delicious lunch featuring Singaporean flavors at Town Restaurant, located inside the iconic Fullerton Hotel and alongside the Singapore River.

Finally, explore the colorful and aromatic neighborhood of Kampong Glam. Admire the Sultan Mosque, a significant landmark that offers a glimpse into the rich history of the Muslim community in Singapore and their significant contributions to the nation's tapestry.

After this culturally enriching tour, return to your hotel where the remainder of the day is at your leisure and dinner is on your own.

Note: Shoulders and knees should be covered when visiting religious sites.

    Expected Weather:

Singapore is known for its hot and humid weather, with little variation throughout the year. The average daytime temperature is 31ºC (88ºF), dropping to around 24ºC (75ºF) in the evenings. The monsoon season can bear down pretty heavily on our tropical weather from November onwards, so be prepared for rain on a daily basis during this period.

    What to Bring:

When packing, keep in mind that you will be in the tropics. Light, cool, and casual clothing is recommended all year round. For more formal occasions, men should wear collared or batik shirts whereas women should wear dresses with covered shoes. When visiting places of local worship, shoulders and knees should be covered.

    Local Currency:

The currency used in Singapore is the Singapore dollar (S$). Money changing services can be found not only at the Singapore Changi Airport but also at most shopping centers and hotels around the island. You can also access the automated teller machines (ATMs) located everywhere (even in the most obscure bits) in Singapore, that accept most of the main credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

    Electricity

Singapore's electricity voltage is 220-240V with ac, 50 cycles per second. Generally, the electricity outlets are three-pronged - two parallel flat pins with a ground outlet. You may purchase adaptors in any of the hardware stores or rent one from the hotel. We recommend travelling with your own international adaptor should you have electric devices.

    Documents and Visa Requirements:

Visitors must have a valid passport valid for minimum 6 months beyond the date of entry into Singapore.

Guests are required to submit an electronic Singapore Arrival Card within three days prior to arrival into Singapore. They are not permitted any earlier. Please follow instructions on this website https://eservices.ica.gov.sg/sgarrivalcard/ or through the official “MyICA” mobile application. Submissions are free of charge.

The above information is subject to change and serves as a guide only. We would like to take this opportunity to remind all of our guests that it is the ultimate and sole responsibility of the guest to ensure they meet the entry requirements for each destination.

If traveling internationally, the countries you are flying to and/ or connecting through may have different document requirements and as such we encourage you to visit the government and airport websites of every country you will be traveling to throughout the journey to familiarize yourself with their requirements for your nationality.

There may also be a need to climb steps or stairs on occasion. Guests who utilize a wheelchair and those with mobility concerns are advised to check with the cruise line in advance to see if any portion of the tour program may not be considered suitable for their individual situation. Weather appropriate clothing; hats; sunglasses; and flat, comfortable walking shoes are generally recommended.

Please note: All land programs are capacity controlled and subject to availability. Programs falling under the minimum number of required participants are subject to cancellation. Pricing listed is also subject to change to meet unexpected cost increases for transportation, land arrangements or currency fluctuations. Once purchased, pricing is guaranteed and not subject to change. Land Programs must be purchased no later than 90 days prior to your sail date. Cancellations made within 90 days or less prior to the sail date are subject to 100% cancellation penalty. There are no refunds for unused portions of any program. Expected Weather:

Singapore is known for its hot and humid weather, with little variation throughout the year. The average daytime temperature is 31ºC (88ºF), dropping to around 24ºC (75ºF) in the evenings. The monsoon season can bear down pretty heavily on our tropical weather from November onwards. Be prepared for rain on a daily basis during this period.

    What to bring:

When packing, keep in mind that you will be in the tropics. Light, cool, and casual clothing is recommended all year round. Bring your bathing suit, good walking shoes, umbrella or rain jacket, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen, cameras and chargers.

    Local Currency:

The currency used in Singapore is the Singapore dollar (S$). Money changing services can be found not only at the Singapore Changi Airport but also at most shopping malls and hotels around the island.

We recommend you bring a universal travel adaptor for electric devices.

    Distilled Water

Some hotels do not provide distilled water. While we can certainly request this for you, we cannot guarantee that it will be available. If received in a timely manner, at least 95 days before sailing, requests will be sent on the final manifest that our ground operators and hotels receive. We highly recommend packing your own supply especially on programs that travel to more remote locations in order to avoid not having it. Many hotels will charge for distilled water. If there is a fee, this will be added to your hotel incidental account to be paid at check-out. Fees will vary from hotel to hotel.

    Documents and Visa Requirements:

Visitors must have a valid passport or internationally recognized travel document valid for minimum six months beyond the date of entry into Singapore. You should also check with your local embassy for any visa requirements for your nationality.

    Accommodation:

    Capella Singapore

Address: 1 The Knolls, Sentosa Island, Singapore 098297

•1 3-course set lunch (including one round of drinks – house-pour red or white wine, beer, soft drinks or juices) at Tower Club

•Group transfer from hotel to pier

Please Note: Guests booking their own flights (independent of the cruise line) are responsible for ensuring that the cruise line has the updated arrival information, so your transfer can be arranged. If you book additional nights independently of the cruise line, an arrival transfer is not provided. If we do not receive flight details a minimum of 14 days in advance, transfers will not be provided.

    Program Excludes for guests:

    •Visa if required

    •Meals not listed above

    •Gratuities for drivers and guides

•Hotel incidentals including mini bar, laundry and room service

    Please note:

Land programs that encompass multiple days ashore customarily include extensive and prolonged activity, while those of shorter durations typically have more moderate activity levels. However, each program varies, and participants should be prepared to negotiate a mixture of surfaces which may include inclines, cobblestones, sand, and gravel or natural paths.

All land programs are capacity controlled and subject to availability.

Price: $3,799 per guest based on double occupancy.

Hotel and Land Program pricing is not combinable with FREE 1-Night Pre-Cruise Luxury Hotel Package. If applicable, please contact Regent Seven Seas Cruises or your travel agent for multi-night pre-cruise hotel pricing information. Land program promotions are subject to terms.

  • Embark on an unforgettable journey from Singapore to the majestic temples of Angkor, delving deep into the heart of Southeast Asia. Explore lively markets, marvel at ancient architectural wonders, and enjoy the genuine warmth of the local people—all seamlessly integrated into an itinerary designed to inspire and captivate. Once hidden beneath thick jungle, the Angkor temple complex now rises as one of the globe’s most impressive religious sites. Highlights include Angkor Wat, celebrated for its sheer size and detailed stonework, as well as the imposing gates of Angkor Thom—the final stronghold of the Khmer Empire—and the fascinating faces of Bayon Temple.

    Please note:

-There is extensive walking over uneven ground at the temple sites - at times up to 2 km, with steps at Bayon and Angkor Wat. This tour is not suitable for guests with walking difficulty or if confined to a wheelchair. It can also be very hot and humid there.

-Cambodia visa fee is included in the tour and will be applied upon arrival at Siem Reap Airport

-Any guests travelling with Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines should read further below about airline stipulations with regards to bringing this equipment on tour.

-If you have any food intolerances or special dietary needs, please contact the Regent Reservations Team at least 95 days prior to your departure. It is important that your land program extension reflects these details so our local vendors can ensure smooth and enjoyable dining experiences.

    DAY 1

After flying into Singapore, you will be met outside of Customs and transferred to your hotel.

Check-in time is 3:00pm. While every effort will be made to have rooms available earlier, this cannot be guaranteed. Should you have an early arrival time you may wish to book an extra night so that a room is ready upon your arrival.

Spend the remainder of the day settling in and enjoying the amenities at your hotel or the sites of the city. Meals are on your own today.

Since guests are permitted 1 checked bag and 1 carry on for the flights to and from Siem Reap, we suggest separating any excess luggage for storage. It will be collected tomorrow morning and stored at the hotel until your return on Day 4. Please remember to bring any valuables, medication and documents with you.

A Hospitality Desk will be located in the hotel (with a minimum of 15 guests booked), providing local information and optional sightseeing tours that can be booked on site, etc.

    DAY 2

Following check out and excess luggage storage, you will transfer to the Singapore International Airport for a flight to Siem Reap. You will be accompanied on the flight by a representative from our local ground agency.

On arrival in Siem Reap you will be met and assisted with obtaining your Cambodian Entry Visa. You will then proceed to the Angkor Site to collect your temple passes which are required for touring. Once this has been issued, proceed to a local restaurant for lunch.

NOTE: Your passport will be kept by our program operations team in order to process the visa on arrival and for exit procedures on departure day. Your passport will be safely returned to you on Day 4.

This afternoon, explore the archaeological treasures of Angkor Wat, the highlight of your program and seat of the once mighty Angkor Empire. It was from here that kings ruled over a vast territory that extended from the tip of what is now southern Vietnam, northward to Yunnan in China, and westward to the Bay of Bengal.

Your expert guide will show you the best spots for taking photos of this massive temple complex as you walk amid the moss-peppered cobbled pathways, gazing up at the intricately carved tower tops, or climb the steep, narrow temple steps that lead to wide courtyards.

Contemplate the temple's spiritual power while you stroll in the cool shade of its hallways, stopping to take in the perfume of burning incense. Lose yourself in contemplation as you catch the rays of sun dancing off the bas relief carvings at sunset, the chatter of monkeys reverberating off the temple walls.

You will have approximately 2 hours to explore its archaeological treasures with your guide before returning to your hotel to freshen up. Enjoy a group dinner at a local restaurant this evening.

    DAY 3

Following breakfast, you will venture to the city of Angkor Thom including the renowned Bayon Temple built in the 12th Century, the Terrace of the Leper King and the Elephant Terrace, a sandstone wall covered with carved hunting scenes and three-headed elephants.

Continue to visit the un-restored temple of Ta Prohm which is famous for its forest atmosphere and enormous fig trees. This temple looks just as it did when the first European explorer arrived. It is also the location of many of the scenes filmed for Angelina Jolie’s huge blockbuster movie, Tomb Raider.

After lunch at a local restaurant, visit Satcha, a Cambodian handicrafts center that fosters local artisans who mix traditional knowledge with contemporary design to showcase their talents and highlight Cambodian culture. Their aim is to encourage the young generation to perpetuate this ancestral know-how while creating unique and desirable products, allowing them to further develop their core skills to become autonomous and financially independent.

Continue to look around the Old Market (Phsar Chas) - the most popular with tourists and visitors, offering the greatest selection of souvenirs, textiles, handicrafts, statues, and curios of any of the traditional markets.

Back at the hotel, enjoy dinner and an Apsara cultural show

    DAY 4

This morning, discover the center of Apopo, a registered Belgian non-governmental organization and US non-profit which is known for training southern giant pouched rats to detect landmines and tuberculosis using their advanced sense of smell, making detection safer and more efficient.

At Apopo’s Siem Reap Center, you will be able to tour a museum about global mine clearance challenges and see demonstrations of the trained rats at work. The animals are not harmed in any way here.

After an enlightening morning, return to your hotel for some free time and lunch on own. Later in the afternoon, check out, settling any incidental charges before you depart and then transfer to the airport for a flight back to Singapore.

Upon arrival at Singapore’s Changi Airport, a local English-speaking representative will be waiting in arrivals to greet you. Once all luggage is collected and the group has gone through Customs and Immigration, you will transfer to your hotel for the evening. The evening is at leisure and dinner is on your own.

Guests will be reunited with any stored luggage.

    DAY 5

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel before checking out. Don’t forget to settle any incidentals before departing. At the designated time, transfer to the Port of Singapore where you will embark the ship.

    What to Bring:

On this tour the key words are comfortable and casual. Please avoid uncovered shoulders, shorts or revealing clothing. Full length trousers or pants and/or skirts covering the knees are required to be worn when visiting Angkor Wat.

Although dinners are not formal, you may want to bring something a bit dressier for that time of day.

Bring a hat or a head covering for sun protection and don’t forget your sunscreen, sunglasses and mosquito repellant (suggested for sunrise and sunset hours). It is also a good idea to bring along a small packet of tissues or wet wipes as well as to bring flat, comfortable, closed toe walking shoes.

Visitors to any religious sites will be required to take off footwear and hats.

    Currency:

The local currency is the Cambodian Riel, but U.S. Dollars are commonly accepted in Cambodia. You should take smaller denominations of U.S. Dollars with you, as they will keep you from ending up with a lot of local change that you will not be able to re-exchange back home.

    Electricity:

Rooms are equipped with 220-volt, two-pin US style electrical outlets. We recommend travelling with your own universal adapter should you have electronic devices.

    Water:

Avoid tap water and drinks with ice in them. Drink mineral water and drinks in sealed containers. Water at the hotels in both Singapore and Siem Reap is potable.

    Luggage:

Guests will be permitted to bring a maximum of one checked suitcase (20 kg or 44lbs) and one small carry on free of charge. Any additional or overweight pieces will be in excess, and fees will be paid to the airline at your expense when checking in for the flights.

For this reason, luggage storage will be available at the hotel in Singapore, and you will be re-united with it on Day 4 upon your return to Singapore.

Please ensure that all excess bags to be stored are tagged properly and visibly with your full name and suite number on the ship. Note that Regent Seven Seas Cruises, the hotel, nor our local ground operator are liable for any lost or missing items. We do not recommend leaving valuables behind or in checked luggage. You should keep any valuables, medications and documents with you in your carry-on handbag.

Carriage of Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines on internal flights per airline regulations (subject to change as each airline has their own regulations)

1.Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC) - Guests must obtain a Doctor’s Certificate mentioning their medical condition and the need to carry a POC. Further paperwork may be required by the airline.

2.CPAP Machine NOT being used in flight – please advise RSSC at least 95 days before your cruise if you will bring a CPAP on the internal flight(s) used in this land program. Please supply the make, model and battery type.

3.CPAP Machine to be used during flight – same as above + a doctor’s note is required mentioning the need to use the machine during flight.

*Guests are required to bring with them any details from the manufacturer regarding the CPAP specifications. While most modern CPAP machines are FAA-approved for in-flight use, having a copy of your manufacturer’s FAA-approval status will help to quickly clear any confusion that may arise.

    * Not providing the above details in a timely manner may result in a denial of this equipment at the airport for which Regent Seven Seas Cruises nor our local ground operator will be responsible for.

*Some hotels do not provide distilled water. While we can certainly request this for you, we cannot guarantee that it will be available. If received in a timely manner, at least 95 days before sailing, requests will be sent on the final manifest that our ground operators and hotels receive. We highly recommend packing your own supply, especially on programs that travel to more remote locations in order to avoid not having it. Please keep in mind the rule for liquids in carry-on bags. Many hotels will charge for distilled water. If there is a fee, this will be added to your hotel incidental account to be paid at check-out. Fees will vary from hotel to hotel.

    Documentation:

Guests must carry a valid passport with at least 6 months validity after the program dates and have spare pages for the Cambodian Visa. Visas will be issued on arrival in Siem Reap and are included in the cost of the program.

All travelers (Tourists, Expats and Cambodians) are also now required to submit a Cambodia e-Arrival Card within 7 days before their arrival via a mobile app or at https://arrival.gov.kh/

VERY IMPORTANT – The name on your cruise booking, passport and any visas if required, must all be exactly the same for flight ticket purchase for this program otherwise guests may be denied travel by flight. Please ensure that all documents are identical in spelling to the names provided for your cruise reservation including first, middle and last name. Manifests generated by the cruise line must match your travel documents.

Failure to have the required documents ahead of time or incorrect names on flight tickets will result in either denial of travel or ticket re-purchase and guests will be responsible for any fees incurred.

A bit later in the day check in at your hotel. The official check in time is at 2:00pm. Should the rooms not be available when the group arrives, luggage can be stored at Reception so that you can begin to enjoy the facilities of the hotel or head out into the city or to the waterfront to explore on your own.

Your hotel is ideally located within close proximity to the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. It’s walking distance to numerous restaurants, many shops and plenty of entertainment. The hotel also has their own in-house Tobago’s Restaurant offering great views, delicious food and variety of beverages.

Meals are on your own today.

    DAY 2

After breakfast, meet our local representative in the lobby who will assist you with a transfer to the Cape Town International Airport for a flight to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Note: the flight is not accompanied and a visa for Zimbabwe is required to be purchased in advance or upon arrival.

As guests may only bring one piece of checked luggage per person, excess luggage (1 piece per person – max 20 kg/44lbs) will be stored from days 1-3 and it will be shipped via courier to Johannesburg where you will be re-united with it on Day 4 at your hotel. Make sure to pack accordingly and bring any medications and cruise documents with you and make sure your name is clearly indicated on your suitcase.

Upon arriving in the Victoria Falls airport, another local representative will meet and assist you with your transfer to the Palm River Hotel where a light lunch (time permitting) will be enjoyed followed by check-in and some free time to explore the hotel and its grounds or participate in an optional activity or tour offered by the hotel (at own cost).

Discover an oasis of elegance and tranquillity at the Palm River Hotel, where sophisticated luxury blends seamlessly with the warmth and comfort of home. Set along the scenic banks of the legendary Zambezi River and enveloped by towering indigenous trees, this exceptional hotel offers panoramic, uninterrupted views while ensuring your privacy and serenity are always preserved.

Ideally located just 4 kilometres from the majestic Victoria Falls, Palm River Hotel puts you at the threshold of one of the world’s most awe-inspiring natural wonders. On clear, peaceful days, you can experience the distant roar and misty spray of the falls right from your room—a truly unforgettable backdrop to your stay. With its perfect balance of central convenience and secluded tranquillity, the Palm River Hotel welcomes you to indulge in the ultimate escape.

Later in the afternoon, transfer to the Zambezi River and embark on a sunset cruise (shared departure). Depending on the size of the group the boat may either be a covered single level sightseeing boat or a larger boat with multiple levels. Enjoy a beverage from this vantage point whilst watching the sunset and possibly sighting hippos, crocodiles, various birdlife and maybe even an elephant or two along the banks of the river.

Following the cruise, and weather permitting, a Riverside Dining Experience offers authentic African-style barbeque dining within an unparalleled setting on the edge of the Zambezi River. The diverse menu includes traditional Zimbabwean specialities, fresh salads and flavour-filled side options. The experience also includes traditional entertainment. Alternatively, during inclement weather, guests will dine at the hotel.

    DAY 3

Following breakfast at the hotel, meet our local representative who will journey with you on this day tour to Chobe, Botswana (border crossing).

Apart from the herds of elephants, Chobe has a lot more to offer, the park has lion, leopard and many other renowned wildlife.

Your tour includes a boat safari on Chobe River, a game drive in Chobe National Park and lunch at one of the local lodges. Return to Victoria Falls in the afternoon (border crossing).

This evening, enjoy dinner at your hotel before retiring for the evening.

    DAY 4

After breakfast and check-out, you will be met and transferred to the Victoria Falls Rainforest where you will have a guided walk.

Located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls is the world’s largest curtain of falling water, based on the falls’ one-mile width and height of 360 feet. It’s an amazing spectacle to watch as the Zambezi River roars over the edge of a basalt gorge, forming what locals call Mosi-Oa-Tunya or “the smoke that thunders.” In November 1885, after seeing the falls for the first time, Scottish explorer and Doctor David Livingstone re-named them after Queen Victoria.

A path along the edge of the rainforest provides visitors with an unparalleled series of views of the falls but be prepared to get wet from the tremendous spray!

After your tour of the Falls, transfer to the Victoria Falls airport for your flight to Johannesburg. On arrival, you will be met and assisted with the short walk to your hotel. The hotel is located within the airport terminal. Note: the flight is not accompanied. Lunch and dinner are on own today.

Guests will be reunited with any excess luggage that was stored in Cape Town and shipped to Johannesburg.

NOTE: the cobblestone walkways within the rainforest can be slippery if wet and some spots are at a gradient. Proper walking shoes that have a good grip should be worn, and guests should wear appropriate clothing to get wet. Due to the amount of walking and terrain, this program is not suited for guests who have walking difficulty or who utilize a wheelchair or scooter. Walking distance will be 2-4km (1.24 – 2.48 miles).

  • Getaway to the Garden Route – a roughly 186-mile (300km) drive of spectacular beauty along the southwest coast of South Africa. Known for its ecologically diverse vegetation, numerous lagoons, forests, lakes, and beautiful beaches, this region is easily accessible by road from Cape Town and highlights all the beautiful sights South Africa has to offer. Come face to face with a myriad of wildlife, flora and fauna during a 4x4 game drive in Botlierskop Private Game Reserve. Visit a working ostrich farm, explore the Cango Caves and board a ferry cruise in Knysna lagoon for lunch and scenic views. This option is perfect for those who have done a safari before, for those who don’t want to fly during their program and for those who are lovers of all things nature.

    Day 1

Disembark the ship in Cape Town and meet your driver-guide. Travel overland to Botlierskop Private Game Reserve. The drive takes approximately 4.5-5 hours but the scenery along the way will keep you captivated.

Pass by diverse vegetation and wildlife, lagoons, lakes, mountains and forests. And then once you arrive at Botlierskop, prepare to immerse yourself in a landscape where wildlife and flora leave you even more captivated and transformed.

Family-owned and proudly independent, Botlierskop promises an unforgettable escape for nature lovers, adventure seekers, and those who simply want to unwind amid South Africa’s most spectacular landscapes.

Nestled along the peaceful Moordkuil River, Botlierskop’s tented suites are carefully positioned to provide guests with a secluded, serene retreat. Each stylish suite features a private wooden deck, where you can soak in sweeping vistas of shimmering rivers, lush game reserve, and towering mountain backdrops.

Your stay unfolds across 6,000 hectares of unspoiled wilderness. While on safari, enjoy close-up encounters with Africa’s iconic wildlife in a malaria-free reserve, where lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, and cheetahs roam freely alongside zebras, giraffes, hippos, and more.

On arrival, enjoy lunch followed by check-in formalities and some time to get acquainted with your surroundings. Enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains and landscape from your open plan suite and your private verandah.

Facilities at Botlierskop include the Fijnebos Spa with heated pool, 24-hour gym, swimming pools, complimentary WIFI, Fireplace Restaurant, fully licensed bar and lounge and a curio shop.

Following an afternoon safari, return to the lodge and freshen up prior to a delicious dinner.

    Day 2

Enjoy a morning nature drive followed by breakfast and check-out formalities.

Embark on an overland transfer to the ‘Feather Capital’ of South Africa – Oudtshoorn – traveling via Barrydale, Ladismith and Carlitzdorp.

On arrival in Oudtshoorn, enjoy lunch (ostrich meat is optionally included) followed by an interactive ostrich farm experience.

Take a ride on the only Ostrich Tractor Tour inside a breeder bird camp. You will see South African “Black”, Kenyan “Red” Ostrich and Zimbabwean “Blue” Ostriches. The ride continues through the chick rearing compartment where you can view chicks in their various stages of development.

With its luxurious facilities and excellent service, Rosenhof is recognized as one of the finest establishments in the region.

    Day 3

After a relaxing breakfast, check-out, and drive to Cango Caves for a 1-hour Heritage tour.

Your visit commences with details on the real discoverers and inhabitants of the cave and then winds its way through the rest of the Caves’ cultural and historical heritage. It’s an easy walk through the first six largest and most spectacular halls and continues through to the "African Drum room".

Experienced and knowledgeable guides will accompany you on this journey of discovery and knowledge.

Departing the Cango Caves, travel over Outeniqua Pass and you make your way to the town of Knysna, passing George and Sedgefield enroute. One of the main attractions in Knysna is its lagoon or estuary. There are five freshwater rivers flowing in from the surrounding Outeniqua Mountains meeting with the surge of sea water from the Indian Ocean through the mighty headlands known as the Knysna Heads.

On arrival, embark on a double-decker boat lunch cruise on the Knysna lagoon (not private). Some of the bird species that may be spotted around the lagoon include sandpipers, stilts, herons, the malachite and pied kingfishers, black oyster catcher, African fish eagle, Knysna woodpecker, and Knysna warbler. Dolphins may also be seen exploring the warm waters here at any time.

All the old machinery which was used in this power station has been restored and forms an integral part of the hotel’s aesthetics. Enjoy its fascinating history as you walk past massive turbines on the balcony and marvel at the intriguing steel pillars and pipes that now form part of the hotel’s quirky décor.

    Extra Nights:

•All extra nights booked through the cruise line are confirmed at the same hotel used on the LAST NIGHT of your program.

    Transfers:

    What to Bring:

Comfortable, weather appropriate clothing that can be layered. Trousers and warm fleece tops for cold and rainy days. A hat, sunglasses and sunscreen, for warmer days. Comfortable walking shoes, camera, charger, swimwear and rain jacket.

    Currency:

The monetary unit of South Africa is the Rand, divided into cents and abbreviated as R and c. All major credit cards are accepted at most establishments, although Visa and Mastercard are the most widely accepted cards.

    Electricity:

South Africa’s electrical system is 220/230 volts, 50 cycles. Most hotels have hair dryers and plug adapters in the bedrooms however we suggest you bring your own travel adapter if you bring electric devices.

    Luggage:

On the flights between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, guests are permitted to check in one piece of luggage at a maximum of 20 kg (44 lbs.).

Excess luggage (up to two pieces of luggage per person) will be stored in Cape Town while you are on safari. You will be reunited with it on day 3 at your hotel. Please pack accordingly for this and limit the luggage you take on the safari to one piece per person.

Overweight or excess bags brought on the flights will be at the expense of the guest.

Passengers are permitted to travel with one piece of hand luggage not exceeding 6 kg (13 lbs.). If the hand luggage does not conform to the specified size, passengers may be denied entry into the departure area or sent back to the check-in counter.

Please advise RSSC of the specifics at least 14 days before sailing.

2.CPAP Machine NOT being used in flight – please advise RSSC when you make your program booking or at least 90 days before the program starts if you will bring a CPAP on the internal flight(s) used in this land program.

    * Failure to provide the above details in a timely manner may result in a denial of this equipment at the airport for which Regent Seven Seas Cruises nor our local ground operator will be responsible for.

*Some hotels do not provide distilled water. While we can certainly request this for you, we cannot guarantee that it will be available. If received in a timely manner, requests will be sent on the final manifest that our ground operators and hotels receive.

    Documents and Visa Requirements:

South African Immigrations requires that you have at least two consecutive double-blank pages in your passport, or entry to the country may be denied. Passports should also be valid for more than six months at the time of travel. Please consult your local embassy for any visa requirements pertaining to South Africa for your nationality.

VERY IMPORTANT – The name on your cruise booking, passport and any visas if required, must all be exactly the same for flight ticket purchase otherwise guests may be denied travel by flight.

There may also be a need to climb steps or stairs on occasion. Guests who utilize a wheelchair and those with mobility concerns are advised to check with the cruise line in advance to see if any portion of the tour program may not be considered suitable for their individual situation.
