She joined Regent in 2018 as Head Sommelier aboard Seven Seas Explorer^®, bringing not only expertise, but an unmistakable passion for excellence. Through years of dedication, growth and perseverance, she has risen through the ranks, earning the respect of colleagues and guests alike.

Now serving aboard Seven Seas Splendor^® as she sails South America and the Mediterranean, Georgiana continues to elevate the onboard experience with intention and care. Her journey reflects what is possible when talent meets opportunity and when women are empowered to lead.

As a woman in maritime leadership, she understands the weight and the opportunity of her role. When asked what she would say to young women who dream of building a life at sea, her advice is simple and powerful: “You belong in this industry just as much as anyone else. Start, even if you’re unsure. Confidence grows with experience. Leadership grows from showing up consistently, learning, and pushing yourself a little further each day. Don’t wait for permission to contribute. Take space. Ask questions. Visibility is often the first step toward opportunity.”

Victoria Del Carmen Palacio Abrego, Engine Cadet

From a young age Victoria knew that she wanted a career at sea and the chance to travel the world. Initially unsure whether to join the Bridge team or pursue a technical path in the Engine department, her time at university introduced her to hands-on technical work and confirmed her passion for marine engineering.

For young women interested in technical careers, Victoria encourages resilience and patience. Challenges are inevitable, she says, but perseverance and hard work create opportunities. Her advice is simple: stay focused on your long-term goals and never be afraid to pursue a technical field if it’s where your passion lies.
