The five extensively experienced senior officers will lead 532 crew when Seven Seas Grandeur debuts in November 2023, offering exceptional personalized service to 746 guests on board the ship that exemplifies Regent’s Heritage of Perfection™.

Captain Luciano Montesanto
Captain Montesanto was born in Crotone, a small city of Calabria, Italy. After completing his education and training by the age of 19 at the Nautical Institute, he began to sail the world as a cadet for a tanker shipping company. Im Laufe seiner 20-jährigen Karriere hat er mit Stolz an mehreren Neubauten von Kreuzfahrtschiffen mitgewirkt und ist rund um den Globus gesegelt. Captain Montesanto was promoted to Captain of Seven Seas Splendor in 2022 and is now proud to be at the helm of Seven Seas Grandeur. Having embarked from ports across the world – from New York City and Venice to Sydney – it’s difficult for Captain Montesanto to pick a favorite destination but admits that sail aways are hard to beat. General Manager Franck Galzy
General Manager Galzy is responsible for overseeing the flawless delivery of hotel as well as food and beverage services. Nach seinem Abschluss an der CAFA Sommelier Wine School im französischen Angers begann er seine Karriere im berühmten Crabwall Manor Hotel & Spa im Vereinigten Königreich. Im Jahr 1999 fing Franck bei Regent an und erklomm in kurzer Zeit die Karriereleiter. Franck became Regent’s youngest General Manager in 2009 and has coordinated many special events during some of the line’s most spectacular voyages. Franck was part of the build team for Seven Seas Explorer® and was also part of the team that launched Seven Seas Splendor.
Staff Captain Giuseppe Gargiulo
Der in Neapel, Italien, geborene Giuseppe hat schon als kleiner Junge davon geträumt, auf einem Kreuzfahrtschiff zu arbeiten. Aus einer Familie von Seefahrern und Fischern stammend und mit einer großen Leidenschaft für das Meer, studierte er an der Nautischen Schule in Sorrento, wo er 1999 seinen Abschluss machte. Bald darauf begann er seine Karriere als Nautischer Offiziersassistent auf Frachtschiffen. Im Jahr 2003 wechselte er in die Kreuzfahrtbranche und erhielt 2006 seine unbeschränkte Kapitänslizenz. Aktuell lebt Giuseppe mit seiner Frau und seinen Kindern im italienischen Sorrento. Im Urlaub verbringt er gern Zeit mit seiner bezaubernden Familie, wandern auf den wunderschönen Naturpfaden in Sorrento und an der Amalfi-Küste und unternimmt Bootsauflüge und Angeltouren.
Chief Engineer Antonio Lagana
Chief Engineer Lagana wohnt in einem kleinen Dorf in der Nähe von Reggio Calabria, Italien, etwa 450 m über dem Meeresspiegel, von wo aus er einen traumhaften Blick auf die Straße von Messina genießt. As a child, he used to see the cruise ships passing and had a vision of one day working onboard. Er studierte an der Nautischen Hochschule in Messina und war nach seinem Abschluss drei Jahre lang in der italienischen Marine und anschließend auf Frachtschiffen tätig. Chief Engineer Lagana begann seine Karriere 2002 auf Kreuzfahrtschiffen als 3rd Engineer und stieg seitdem in den Rängen auf. Seit 2011 ist er als Chief Engineer bei Regent Seven Seas Cruises tätig. Im Urlaub verbringt er seine Zeit gern mit Frau und Töchtern und kümmert sich um seine Farm mit Olivenbäumen und herrlichen Weinbergen.
Cruise Director David Nevin
Geboren in Halifax, Kanada, und aufgewachsen auf einer Farm in der Prärie von Saskatchewan, absolvierte David eine Musiktheaterausbildung am Sheridan College in Toronto und spielte in Musicals wie Evita, My Fair Lady und Grease! In 2001, David’s career took a nautical turn when he embarked on his first cruise ship as a singer and dancer.
